The curriculum for Architecture Sciences at the Artesis University College Antwerp comprises 2 academic Bachelor and 4 Master programmes.
The studies in Architectural Sciences present students with exciting challenges emerging and evolving from the depths and out of the rich canvass of human cultural achievements. Since they travel the middle road between the tension field exemplified by exact empirical scientific knowledge and the wide-ranging untrammelled vistas of the creative imagination, these studies are not unnaturally distinguished by their great complexity.

Where science deals with quantifiable facts, relying on rational and logical thought-processes and hypotheses that can be tested objectively, the creative imagination is more interested in non-definable parameters, the intuitive conclusions and hypotheses that can submit neither to the strict measure, nor the determination, of what is True or False. In their pedagogical conception, the courses elect the third road, with its typical design-focused perspective.

Central in this approach is the stimulation and development of the total problem-solving capacity within the student. Interdisciplinary, project-oriented education founded on a methodical approach and a broad fundamental base of technical, social and life sciences, and economic knowledge are essential starting principles to this complex process wherein daring, insight, and initiatives are considered indispensable qualities and attributes.
