Artesis University College of Antwerp, the University of Antwerp and the OPC Foundation announce the “OPC Day Benelux 2011: Connecting Evolvable Automation and Business Components with OPC UA” on November the 16^th 2011 in Antwerp, Belgium. This initiative originates from the TETRA project WebCom (www.webcom-eu.org) of the Electromechanical research group at the Department of Industrial Sciences at Artesis. In this project the possibilities of the standard ‘OPC Unified Architecture’ (OPC UA) for industrial communication are explored. This project is in cooperation with the OPC Foundation and twelve Belgian companies. In order to reach out to a larger audience in Belgium and the Benelux, the “OPC Day Benelux 2011” is held in Antwerp and is organized by Artesis.
